Ah yes. The time has probably come for an entry that doesn't have to do with CP.
If I had something to say.
Anyway, perhaps the time has come for a mid-summer progress report, detailing my progress in certain endeavors I swore to myself to complete at the beginning of the summer. Actually, there's a decent possibility that the aforementioned swearing did not occur.
So far I've:
Gone to Florida. I guess I knew this was going to happen. I played golf and tennis, and also realized that getting really, really mad makes my body shut down and get sore and tired. But only for like 6 hours.
Ridden a flying rollercoaster. On the way back from Florida, we stopped at Six Flags over Georgia. Second ride of the morning was Superman: Ultimate Flight, which was extremely cool. I would not be opposed to CP getting a sweet flying model in a few years.
Also on that note, I have experienced my first actual Six Flags incompetence, so now I can back my facts up when I wax poetica about the unfortunateness of Six Flags. The employees there were the slowest I have ever seen. We must have waited 45 minutes for them to dispatch 6 or 7 trains on the Mine Train they had there. Utterly ridiculous.
Got another 31 second run in Minesweeper Intermediate. Actually this was a strange occurrence because I haven't been playing much recently and am out of practice, but I busted out a 31 randomly on the home computer. So that was cool.
Hand Hand Perfection new best time: 47.6 seconds left. That's 25 shapes in 12.4 seconds. Breaking the 2 shape-a-second barrier. This was also on the Florida trip. Which all of the points on this entry have been about, except the last one.
I waterskied on the 4th of the July. I haven't done that in like 2 years, last year due to my knee and the year before due to something else like lack of time or a similar unfortunate event. I like waterskiing.
I won the 4th of July Fun Run at my Aunt and Uncles house where I go on the 4th of July outside of Grand Rapids which is also the place I waterskied. This marks like the 7th time I've won my division, but this time I was 1st overall. Although this was partially due to the fact that they got rid of the 4 mile, so it was only a 2 mile. But I'm not really complaining, although I was training with a 4 miler in mind.
Rollercoaster Tycoon, beating the original game. This is something I've been swearing I'd do for a while. Right now I only have about 7 scenarios left out of the Loopy Landscapes 30. I've beat one so far, and right now I'm on a fairly difficult one, where the people keep getting lost and are unable to find the park exit because it's a really weirdly shaped park, and it's going to take forever to beat because it's one of those that you have to build 10 rollercoasters in, except that they all have to be over like 4,593 ft long (which is ridiculous for that game) and have an excitement rating of over 7, although that's really not a problem with a ride that long. So this is going to take a while, and I must redouble my efforts.
Ummmm. I'm probably better at golf this summer, because I've played more. Golf is fun.
I made a CD for Dan Westrick as a graduation gift. For those of you that don't know, but I particularily enjoy Dan's last name and have a specific way of saying it. Well, let's just say that there are 11 different ways of saying it recorded on this particular CD, all said by yours truly. Along with a smattering of other things I enjoy saying, and other random crap I thought would be funny to put on there. 38 tracks in all, bleshing together in a wonderful symphony of me saying things. It's amazing what you can do with a microphone, sound recorder, and iTunes.
Thus ends the mid-summer progress report.
