Spring Break was certainly interesting. I went down to Little Rock Thursday afternoon, just bummed around town for a while. I hung out with Joe and Emily mostly. Not too much went on really, but it seems like everytime I'm alone with Emily at her house there seems to be bad weather. Maybe that is God's way of telling us that he wants us to be together.
This past Friday we drove up to Hoopston, Illinois for my grandmothers funeral. It was very interesting. The church it was held at was very beautiful, very rustic and old time-y. It was a really nice service, my mom read a poem, my cousin played "Danny Boy" on the flute (that was apparently one of my grandmothers favorite songs) Then everyone walked out to the grave site and put flowers next to her urn. It was really nice. Then everyone went back for the reception afterwards at the Fire Station (my uncle is the fire chief there) We ate lasagna and lots of other stuff. (I don't want to eat lasagna again for a long time)
Then on Sunday we went up to Chicago and only stayed for a little bit. We walked around Navy Pier for a little bit and then met up with my mom's friend at a 50's themed restaurtant Ed Debevicks'. (or however you spell that) And then we drove back to Hoopston. (Sorry Dori that I didn't call you. We didn't stay there long enough and we were just hanging out with the family and I knew that wouldn't be way too exciting for you.)
Monday night we drove back and Joe and I headed up to Hendrix for The American Princes show. That was a REALLY good show. (J.P I thought about you when I was at Hendrix, I am positive that you would love the social and school scene up there. It was awesome!!!!!) Then I woke up super early (haha like 8:30) this morning and drove up here to Memphis. Then I hung out with the Honors Ladies and made some funny pictures of ourselves. And now I am just waiting to go to work! Hurrah for money. So hopefully I can get my haircut HURRAH!!!
