so spring break is over now. it was an alright one....not the best though, even though i was with Peter. he had lots of classes that he couldn't skip, and i'd been there 2 times before, so i didn't have much to do except sit in starbucks and get caught up on homework. the only two new things i did was go to the spy museum, which was very interesting and a little scary/creepy at the same time because of what they can do to spy on people and such, and the other was see the new World War II memorial....which i thought to be disgustingly ridiculous and very propaganda-like and not memorial-like at all......more of a tribute to the US showing how much more powerful we are and how we are above everyone else and...oh yeah, this is a "memorial" to the soldiars so that part will have to be added in.....and that part, to me, was stunning (a wall with 4,000 stars - each representing 100,000 people who died in the war - and they reflected in a little pool of water that was around it), and if the rest of the giant eye-sore hadn't been there, i think it would have been almost as moving as the vietnam wall......anyway, enough of that.....
i was in dc from friday to saturday....got back home saturday night and then came back to school sunday morning. i kind of wish i had gotten home friday so i could have had more time with the family.....or left a little later on sunday.....but we still had time for a very small easter egg and easter basket hunt....so everything worked out just fine.....(and i like getting back to school earlier anyway)....
first day back at school.....wasn't a bad day either because my one class was cancelled, i got a little bit of reading done, went and listened to a guy who survived Auschwitz, had lu'au practice, AND actually went and worked out....so now i'm feeling pretty darn good (...except for the fact that i'm eating a cadbury egg...which i think i will put away and not eat now....)
