Because of the aforementioned injury to my right arm I have mainly foresworn excessive mouse and keyboard use indefinitely. However I thought it quite worth mentioning that today I was fiddling with a drawer / shelving unit which had kneeled off its two front casters, and the amount of attention given to my right arm during this process blinded me to the heavy clock wobbling at the top. This fell off and struck me smartly on the bridge of my nose-- I felt the shock of impact being absorbed, dispersed, and reflected by the lump of cartilage-- a weird sensation. Thus defelcted to the left, the sharp edge of the clock tore a gash into my left forearm that required six stitches (and unfortunately three hours in the ER.) It must have looked funny driving the hospital with one arm crooked to keep the barely closed wound from healing and the other in a brace. I considered doing emergency flashers the whole way but that concealed my turn signals so I let it go.
