I knew going down into that cellar to kill a bunch of rats and goblins would pay off. Work told me today I have obtained enough XP to level up, making me a Level E Underwriter.
This brings a number of benefits such as the class feature Improved Lending Mandate and the free feat Master of Exceptions to Standard Policy. My THAC "0"has not improved though, but I can now Turn customer complaints as if I was a Complaint Handler three levels lower than my Underwriter level.
Unfortunately I don't get the class feature Improved Salary until I can start on the Underwriting Manager Paragon path, so I'd best get back to killing orcs, raiding treasure and minimising our probability of default margins to get some more XP.
PS - I am aware that I've mixed D&D references from 2nd, 3rd and 4th editions, but surely only the most anally retentive of D&D geeks would be bothered by that. Mr Rafferty?
