A Budo moment.

In Jodo today, for the first time in that art, near the end of the class, I just completely relaxed and fell into the flow.
I was relaxed, fast, accurate and had the thousand yard stare. There were moments of seeming no-mind in it, where there was movement, but no thought, about anything.
I've had that a few times with Aikido, and it's rare there, but this was the first time with Jodo it ever just fell into place.
Those moments are the reason I've dedicated so much to martial arts.
Every bit of pain, humiliation, exhaustion, insecurity and all the other hard parts that cause so many people to just drop out, they are all worth it for those few moments.
