Time with wings
Exactly a year ago (depending on whether you want to look at the numerical date or the day of the week), I was on a plane from Chicago O'Hare to Atlanta, GA next to nothing along with me on my way to BCT. Funny how quickly time seems to pass. Basic feels like it was only last month, but really, it's been a year since I've left. It won't be long until it'll be a year since I've been back at the rate this term is going.
The sad farewells and whatnot may have been worse than being at Basic itself (however, I do speak from a company that truly fits the slogan "Relaxin' Jackson"), and it's kinda funny how those kinda hover in my mind equally if not more when I think back on Basic. Thinking about that today makes me glad I don't have to leave my friends for an extended period of time any time soon.
Today isn't going by so slow. It wasn't a particularly good day, but thankfully it's painlessly quick despite being one of my longer days.
I made eggs Jimmy's way today. Yummy. Not particularly special and not something I haven't done before but better than how I usually do it. Yay for yummy eggs.
