Quote from the book I had to read for a class. Its about distinctions and awards granted for things like civil service and 'what do they amount to in the end?'. They are good and all with good intentions but the man's wife was neglected while he was pursuing them and she cheated on him and he was miserable for the rest of his life. Makes you re-evaluate the things that are REALLY important in life.
