Back in Black
Well, hi there Livejournal. It has been, what? Three years now. You look great.
I have a sudden and pressing need to start blogging again. I am not particularly tech-savvy, and Blogger confused me and messed with my Google accounts so, I am back. The prodigal blogger (?) has returned.
1. I graduated from my MFA program this past May. It was a busy three years and I know more about Shakespeare and early modern drama than anybody really needs to.
2. During my last semester, I was hired on tour with the American Shakespeare Center which has been my dream job since 2009. I got to travel all over the country and perform in three plays ("Twelfth Night", "Love's Labours Lost", and "The Duchess of Malfi"). It. Was. Awesome.
3. I am still in Virginia trying to figure some things out. I spent a few months auditioning, mostly in DC. I am taking a break right now, working in a coffee shop, and living with my dear friend Jac. I am trying to save money and get myself in better shape. I would eventually like to move to a big city where there are more opportunities to audition.
4. I was blogging on a weight loss site that turned out to be full of radical Christians. I did not know, and made a few "missteps" - ended up being branded as a communist anti-Christ so, I decided to come back and get all my brain thinkings out in my old stomping grounds.
So, that's that. Good to be back.
