GOD, I cannot wait until I am in Arizona, by then most of this stuff will thankfully be over.
Things causing way too much stress in my life:
1.) Next year's housing: I have been trying to put together an International House for next year, but that does not seem to be working too well for me... My friend Paula who I was working on it with has pulled out because she won't be able to room with us. She is going to Budapest next semester and we don't have anyone who has expressed interest in living with us but who won't be there in the spring. So, as it stands, the people who HAVE expressed interest: myself, Drew (who is not sure of himself, and who the International Club guys have nixed because he doesn't take life or school seriously in the least, at a party the week prior he was one of the biggest vandals involved in the abuse of their house which consisted of petty theft, the kicking in of their back door (by a drunk Drew), and the dropping of Ben's computer (also by Drew), etc), Gordon (who is thinking of following Paula to Budapest), a friend of Drew's whose name I can't recall, a junior named Jeff Woods in Budapest (who is nicknamed penis-head for some hair-shaving antics, and has acquired some odd rumors, but he has been emailing Paula a lot trying to find out what is happening), a Thai girl named Angel (who didn't show up at the meeting but hopefully is still interested), and a Georgian kid named George who apparently is un-trackable (georgian as in Georgia the country), and some other kid whose name I don't know and who hasn't shown up. I am trying to rope in a girl I know named Dani who is pretty cool, and is friends with Angel. Worst case scenario, I am living with a group of guys who only joined the club to get in a house which they cannot keep clean. *head* *desk*
2.) Not only do I have to get a group together, but we need to fill out an application which is due in two days (even though our group is not set).....and have an interview....
3.) Languages. I'm not excessively worried about French or Sanskrit, but they aren't helping the situation. I do not know why I am taking two languages at once... At least my French professor is awesome.
4.)My room-mate. Yeah, I get it, you're on an athletic team and I'm not. You have to get up early thus you want to go to bed early, but I AM SICK AND TIRED OF STUDYING IN THE HALL!!!!! I don't know if you've tried it before, but it isn't that comfortable. I get saddle-sore on hard benches, what do you think linoleum does? It would be absolutely WONDERFUL if you could tell me AHEAD OF TIME when you plan on going to bed early for an early morning practice instead of 1.5 hours PRIOR to you going to bed!!! I AM SO F-ING TIRED OF BENDING OVER BACKWARDS TO BENEFIT YOU WHO CANNOT EVEN BE CIVIL IN THE MORNINGS (aka do anything but glare and be silent).
On a lighter note, I got to catch Shaun White's rides in the olympics last week. Man that was so cool to see. Also, in roughly two weeks I will be flying out of here and I have both of my rides covered. On the downside, I am stoney broke and this stupid girl at the library is working more hours than she was awarded meaning some of us are making less than we were awarded....God I don't want to be the tattle-tale, but I REALLY NEED the money. I am scrimping and saving as much as I can, but I still am BROKE and I don't get a paycheck for another 2 WEEKS!!!
