John is a prick. Ugh. How disgusting. And I love how Cuddy firmly tells him that he has zero chance of being with her. I bet better men than John have tried prying her away from House and failed every time. I was disgusted with John's actions and reasonings. I can't imagine how Cuddy must've felt. Kudos to making that horrifying. Cue the guilt that'll eat her up. I can't wait for this angst even though I have a feeling it'll break my heart, but I know you'll do House and Cuddy justice. Can I just tell you though, that when Cuddy kept dismissing John and told him she'll always take his money I cheered so hard for her? I wish she slapped him, but her harsh words were just so good.
Now I'm even more excited for the next chapter. I love this fic to pieces. Seriously, so much ♥ for you and this fic.

Good to see you're not a big fan of John. To be honest, I'm sure Cuddy would have slapped him if she'd anticipated his behavior. But she was too surprised to really know what to do/say. Oh well. I'm sure House is willing to pinch hit for her. :D
Thanks for reading and reviewing!

I also loved how you fleshed out John. What an interesting addition to this story, even though he's pure creep.
I can't wait for the next chapter.

Absolutely fantastic. I definitely expected some kind of a move from John, but I didn't expect that reaction from Cuddy. Her taking the time to defend her relationship with House, and to give John those answers... I wasn't expecting that. Not that I don't think she'd stick up for House every chance she could, but I didn't expect Cuddy to dignify John's accusations with a response. I'm glad she did; I think it showed her devotion and love for House completely, and also (despite the harsh ending,) showed that she really didn't have any true intention of leading John on. That she sat and calmly explained her feelings, that she felt she owed John those answers, puts her POV out there very clearly.
I can't even imagine what House's reaction will be, but I can't wait to find out!
