some hard hitting questions!
Pointless Questions
1. Why are there five jillion websites for people who overeat when they're stressed out or ill, but insofar as I can tell absolutely none for people who under such situations stop eating? I mean, isn't that kind of a problem too? I know there are more of us out there!
(And no, I am not talking anorexia, I am talking "I am stressedish and have five pounds of mucus sitting in my sinuses and food is not looking so hot.")
For some reason, I can pretty much force down right now: wheat bread, weird Chinese candy, raw broccoli, copious amounts of weak Chai tea. Mmm, mmm!
2. Why is the "Oh Brother Where Art Thou" soundtrack acceptable to hipster teenagers, whereas any other form of bluegrass is ew ick horrible turn it off? Even if it sounds pretty much the same? Even if it is actually the exact same vocalists and artists? Something is fishy here!
3. Why did I get sick for the first time all year as soon as it get warm and nice and beautiful outside? (Of course, this cannot be answered.)
4. Why is it that almost all the kids I know who are into communism and socialism are wealthy? Seriously, what gives? Guilt? Some perverse genetic need to get rid of all the money as quickly as humanly possible? I am confused. (Please think before you post to tell me about your communist theorist cousin who has no money and lives in a cardboard box THUS I AM TOTALLY WRONG. Please.)
5. Why is it that the R.D's have fostered such deep suspicion of them within my soul that I am afraid to ask them for Sudafed? Because I know that as soon as I do, they will send an email to the entire faculty saying, "WATCH OUT, FAINE IS ADDICTED TO SUDAFED, WATCH FOR SIGNS OF SCHIZOPHRENIA AND DEATH," perhaps? Even though I honestly and truly just have a stuffy nose? Or that could be the paranoia talking.
6. Furthermore, why is our school clinic closed on the weekends? In my experience, I always get either injured or sick on the weekends. This seems to happen to other kids too with startling regularity. Are we supposed to pray to some beneficent savior that we not contract any viruses or get hit by any cars over or suffer any mental breakdowns over the weekend, or what?
7. Seriously, why are boys evil cheating bastards? I say this not due to any recent incident involving myself but due to general observation. Can any of you explain yourselves? I'm waiting!
...That's all I can think of right now. This weather really is nice though. I'm just pissy because it's Sunday night and I have to stay in and work and I want to go out and play.
