Father's Day Blast

My mom and dad visited me for Father's Day this last Sunday. It was a nice, relaxing time. I cooked them dinner and we watch a couple of movies (Star Wars: Episode II and Caveman, which cavin had never seen). Anyway, on the way back home they drove past this interesting sight:

Mom had rolled down the window of the car to take the picture and she said that she could feel the heat even from that distance. I wanted to read up on it but so far I haven't seen any news stories.

I've ridden Greyhound a couple of times, most notably on a trip to Phoenix back in 1992 and again to Toronto in 2001.

Back in Seattle, though, there was a newsworthy event that happened at the federal courthouse downtown, just a few blocks from my day job. A man carrying a grenade was shot by police about the time I was preparing to head out to lunch.

Exciting times.
