LiveJournal: Ruining it for everybody since May 2007
I can't believe that LiveJournal is still pulling so many nasty shenanigans. At this point I'm so fed up with this nonsense that I'm really tempted to finally just bite the bullet and make the jump to a "real" blog. But all my communities are here, and I have so much history here, not to mention the fact that I could never give up all my stupid icons. This sucks!
When all the drama first surfaced back in May of last year, I wondered if it would be the end of LiveJournal. When it turned out not to be, I was relieved, and then when it was revealed that SixApart was selling LJ I thought our new Russian overlords might actually be an improvement. Turns out, not so much. They're still making changes without informing the users, and they're still putting out dickish condescending press releases when the users get upset about it. Now I almost wish it WOULD mean the end of LJ. If only everybody could agree on where to migrate to, but that's a bit to much to hope for, I think.
