Of course there are other things I should be doing or writing.

First line of every month this year:

January: No entries for the whole month! I was having issues, as evidenced by February's entry:
February: Am I really posting to LJ from my Treo?
March: Isn't it funny how something like wishful thinking can completely override one's sense of irrefutable logic?
April: I'm not sure whether or not this news means anything to anybody...but if anyone reading IS still from around here I gots a scoop for you.
May: captwill83 tagged me!
June: On behalf of the Dharma Initiative, Octagon Global Recruiting is currently seeking volunteers to contribute to an important new research project.
July: Since we had a slice of cheesecake last week we now flip the switch to mancandy.
August: I believe I'll be indulging in buying a Flickr pro account, since I've already run up against the "only display the 200 most recent pictures" limit, and I've got a ton of pictures and videos to upload from Comic-Con.
September: I've really been trying to work on my Comic-Con recap, but I'm having connectivity issues that are driving me up the wall.
October: Last night, I made a list of things that I have to accomplish today.
November: Happy Dia del los Muertos, All Saint's Day, Candy Hangover Day or whatever you may celebrate!
December: Hard to believe how fast the time goes!

The rules are that for 8 days you have to post something that made you happy that day. Tag 8 people to do the same.

I'm not going to tag anyone but I've been a whiny twat lately so maybe doing this for a week will help. Earlier I ended up on a wild goose chase and to lighten my mood I stopped at a random 99¢ Only. Ended up wandering around for longer than was probably necessary, but what finally cheered me was seeing a roll of Pokemon wrapping paper. It reminded me about a different pattern of Pokepaper that I used to wrap presents in what I think back to as my first grown up Christmas. Not that I think of myself as being Grown Up now, but it sounds better than "the first Christmas where I got people presents that didn't suck".

01. Name a movie that you have seen more than 10 times: Who Framed Roger Rabbit, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas...probably a few others.

02. Name a movie that you've seen multiple times in a theater: Shaun of the Dead/Hot Fuzz. Grindhouse.

03. Name an actor that would make you more inclined to see a movie: Johnny Depp. Drew Barrymore. Jack Black. Salma Hayek. Jack Nicholson. Scarlett Johansson.

04. Name an actor that would make you less likely to see a movie: Tom Cruise. Julia Roberts. Ben Stiller. Katie Holmes.

05. Name a movie that you can quote from: Fear and Loathing. The Godfather.

06. Name a movie musical that you know all the lyrics to all the songs: The Little Mermaid.

07. Name a movie that you have been known to sing along with: Moulin Rouge.

08. Name a movie that you would recommend everyone see: Cashback

09. Name a movie that you own: Opening a drawer, first one I see...The Royal Tenenbaums.

10. Name an actor that launched his/her entertainment career in another medium but who has surprised you with his/her acting chops: I would say Meat Loaf but he's really been in acting as long as music. I thought Fiddy Cent was good in Righteous Kill.

11. Have you ever seen a movie in a drive-in? Sure, until it closed down I went fairly often.

12. Ever made out in a movie? No! I imagine if the drive-in had still been open by the time I hit the right age it might be different.

13. Name a movie that you keep meaning to see but just haven't gotten around to it: Brokeback Mountain. I kind of don't want to now, either :(

14. Ever walked out of a movie? Closest I ever came was Jurassic Park III.

15. Name a movie that made you cry in the theater: The Mist.

16. Popcorn? If I buy the big bucket, I will eat the entire thing within 20 minutes and will spend the remainder of the movie greasy and unhappy.

17. How often do you go to the movies? I swore to myself that this weekend I would see Eagle Eye or Milk, and completely failed.

18. What's the last movie you saw in the theater? Pineapple Express, I think?

19. What is your favorite/preferred genre of movie? buddy comedies written by shane black

20. What was the first movie you remember seeing in the theater? Roger Rabbit. May have to start a moratorium on using that for meme answers.

21. What movie do you wish you had never seen? Can't think of any movie I hated that much. That show Testees is horrible, though.

22. What is the weirdest movie you enjoyed? Head.

23. What is the scariest movie you've ever seen? Zombie movies tend to stick with me. Also, Jurassic Park gave me nightmares for years, but it's one of my favorites.

24. What is the funniest movie you've ever seen? Ever?!? That's a lot of pressure. I feel like I should pick someone from Mel Brooks but I think I gotta go with Half Baked. Doctor said I need a backiotomy.
