"Dude, ideas are good. Light bulbs. Liberty. Beer. These things all started as ideas!"

So I skipped the Sex and the City movie, but I've read all the spoilers. It sounds exactly as I expected. That show has NOT held up to scrutiny. Once upon a time I genuinely loved it, but in hindsight there are so many flaws.

A show that's honestly good, though, is My Boys on TBS, which started a new season tonight. It's very much the intellectual sucessor to Sex and the City, but it's actually consistently funny and the characters are likable. Ignore the horrible sounding name ("My Boys", ugh). Ignore the sassy black stereotype factory best friend, while you're at it (she's gotten a touch less annoying). No show is perfect, but this is the only one with Jim Gaffigan gleefully buying a watch to celebrate the fact that he helped his company "rape a rainforest" that day. Check it!
