Whose Line Is It Anyway?

Saturday night, Leon and I saw Greg Proops at Cobb's Comedy Club in San Francisco. It marked the first time that we actually drove into the city, and I have to admit that it was strangely exciting.

We saw the 10:15 show, which wasn't quite sold out, but the 8:00 was. This made it take until 10:45 to even seat everyone, but the show was well worth the wait.

Proops and his opening act, Jim Short, were hilarious. Short, a native Australian, made light of American ethnocentrism, referring to it as more of an arrogance than an ignorance.

Proops danced around pop culture and barely touched on politics, but he made it pretty clear how he stood on things. He also had a bit of a love-hate relationship with the audience as he had to keep telling them (us) to get on board with his sarcasm and irony. I don't think he liked them (us) for being a bit cynical, but he still delivered a great show.

We also drove through Little Italy, which is now the number one place in San Francisco that I want to spend some time. Perhaps we can next weekend.
