A lot has happened in the past couple of months, and I haven't been good about documenting it. I don't want to bore anyone with a 50 page update, so I'm just going to post some pictures to give you an idea of what I've been doing in the past month and a half.
First, I graduated from college with my BA in English. Here I am looking very happy with Amy and Caroline:
Here's my beau Leon. He graduated with degrees in computer science and physics. It was really hot in those velvet robes. Can you tell?
Before graduating, I had one last night out with my friends. Here's me with Caroline on our way down to Laclede's Landing.
And here's one of all of us having a drunken good time (I feel bad that Kirsten got cut off on the side!):
Leon's brother Sam graduated from high school the day after our graduation, so we drove to Tennessee to attend.
Then we spent some time in my hometown in Illinois, where we saw how big my niece Mattie is getting.
And then attended a family reunion; it was the first in at least a decade. (Can you find me in the picture? Hint: I'm not hiding.)
Next Leon and I traveled to Berkeley and picked out an apartment. We saw 17 apartments and took over 70 pictures of them to keep them straight. Ironically, we didn't take pictures in the one we chose, but here's the most expensive and beautiful one:
We chose one in the same complex as this one, but ours has hardwood floors instead of the ugly blue carpet that we discovered in this one.
We then went back to my hometown where my sister married Jeremiah. It was a surprisingly good time and awfully informal, which was smart.
Finally, we drove over 2200 miles from St. Louis to Berkeley in my Honda (oh, yeah! My parents got me a car for my graduation gift) and a Budget truck. We took pictures of pretty scenery along the way.
And now we're here and all moved in. I had my first job interview on Tuesday, and I thought it went really well. I feel pretty confident that I'll at least have the second interview, but I am trying not to get my hopes up about the job.
Life is pretty good. More later.
