I got to virtually meet Fouad's younger brother Mohammad on Monday. By "virtually meet," I mean that Fouad had a webcam chat with him, and I popped into view just long enough to wave and smile.

There's no way the boy in that picture is 20 years old. It's probably 4 or more years old. Or else I'm even more terrible at guessing ages than I thought.

Ah, I almost mentioned that. Yes, the picture is old. Now, his face looks a lot thinner. I have a more recent picture but I like this one more. :)

i don't think that he was thinking, "oh haha, you're dating a fatty." i think that is a definite case of oversensitiveness. and you're NOT a"fatty" by my standards.

I think I know how to say "my love" in Arabic too! Mostly cuz my friend named her dog "Habibi" ;) Her husband is Arabic and from Jordan, so when his mom comes to visit she thinks it's a strange name for a dog.

I think you really are beautiful, Kate, if it makes any difference. But I'm sure Mohammed was being honest, and Fouad's friends are dumb for not thinking you really are attractive.
