We saw Al Gore today. He was in Berkeley to urge people to vote "yes" on Proposition 87, which will tax Big Oil and fund alternative energy programs.

You may not think the weight loss shows much, but I think that's because you see yourself every day. As someone who sees only the occaional picture, trust me: it does.

He must be a very busy man. I mean, more than I would have expected. He was actually late arriving to this event and I'm sure that as soon as he finished, he was whisked away to the airport so he could make the event in Seattle.

I feel like he's earned the right to maybe be a little more carbon producey than most. Plus, I don't think it's really his choice to have the vast amounts of security...his life may really be in danger, and that would be a great loss.

I'm a big fan of his too, and totally jealous that you got to see him in person!

Yeah, I think he will have security like that for the rest of his life. I guess it'd be pretty cool to know that you're never in danger but I would hate the lack of privacy.
