i don't know what kind of marketing tactic they employ at
shoppers drug mart but whatever it is, it's working (and consequently burning a hole in my wallet)! it seems that whenever i visit any of their stores, i leave with a chockful of (unnecessary) stuff.
just yesterday, i went to their eaton centre branch with the intention of buying a body lotion. the frigid weather is wreaking havoc to my skin, particularly my hands, and i desperately needed an excellent moisturizer... fast! so as i moseyed up and down the aisles looking for the perfect, heaven-sent lotion to hydrate my poor hands -- and by the way,
nivea extra nourishing milk is fabulous! -- i ended up picking a couple of more items that i didn't really need. after all was said and done, the total damage to my credit card was $80-something dollars.
but the upside of this is at least i'll have whiter teeth, contact lens solution for the remainder of the year and velvety smooth hands!

i'm not gonna mention that today's that day. but i guess now that i've italicized "that," i've automatically acknowledged whatever today is.
no matter, though. the more pressing news, at least in my perspective, is the amount of stank slush/snow that has enveloped downtown toronto. it feels like i'm stepping into some stank-ass crap every time i venture outside. ew.
