I've recently reconnected with a lot of my buddies from the Marine Corps. I love Facebook. It has been a great time talking with them on fb and reminiscing about when we were stationed together at MCAS Beafort, SC. We're now even talking of trying for a "reunion" next year around St. Patty's Day ( Read more... )

Through Facebook, I reconnected with a net friend I first got to know in the mid-1980s, lost track of after some years, rediscovered briefly in the 1990s, and lost track of again. She's now one of my best friends - probably closest of anyone I know in Seattle. She's been really supportive through the past year, which has been a difficult one (largely due to events of my own making, I admit). But on topic, it was really great not just rediscovering a friend, but finding that the friend was a lot closer than she had been years ago when we first got acquainted.
