So I'm finishing up my first week back from Spring Break. It's actually been pretty good. Monday was absolutely gorgeous, so I skipped class and went shopping up and down the Lancaster strip with Amanda. I purchased "The Vagina Monologues", a used Foucault book, and a used Elliott Smith CD. She and I also had some amazing sushi and tried fried ice cream for the first time, and let me tell you it was damn good. Later that night around 10, Alison and I unsuccesffuly attempted to go to the gym and instead ended up going for a walk that ultimately amounted to about 7 miles. It was so refreshing. We walked all the way into Haverford to the house I lived in, went down some other streets, and wandered around Haverford's campus to find a bathroom. It's a very pretty school. I'd never really noticed before. We also encountered some ducks at the pond and watched them for a while. One duck violated another one while others chased eachother for the attention of the she-duck. It was a grand ol' time.
Nothing else really happened during the week except for some classes and a bit of work on my thesis. Got some papers and exams back, and that was really nice. I got to feel smart for a few minutes here and there.
And then came Friday... St. Patrick's Day, where I get to celebrate the fact that other people are Irish. It was quite a bunch of fun, though I don't want to see, taste, or smell alcohol for a good long while. I have a tendency to drink like a dirty old man, but keep forgetting that I have the body of a 21 year old girl. So today was a do-nothing day. Stayed in pajamas and glasses all day and have just been loving the shit out of my bed. Actually, I'm currently lying in it and I think I'll pop in some "Pulp Fiction" and fall asleep soon. Later, all!
