Spring Break...yay?

Well, it's several days into spring break, and I haven't really done much. I spent friday and saturday at a track meet. I guess I did well. The 4x8 team didn't get last, which was our goal, and my split tied my 800 PR. Gah, I hate sprinting. Then mi madre brought Aleca and I home. We stopped at some place to get milkshakes and some really gross pretzels. Then Saturday, I had to be at the school by 7. We got to the meet, and well high jump. The starting height was 4'4'' so I knew I had no hope. I no-heighted. Darn. Then we waited around for forever. I decided to run the mile as Laura. Hayden and I warmed up and stuff then went to the check in place late. Then right before we went to the starting line, they announced that the meet would be delayed. Well, they still ran our heat anyway. I got a 5:54, so I broke six. That made my day. Then it started to thunder and lightning, and they really did postpone the meet. Hayden and I had to go back and get our stuff from the check-in place. Then it started to drizzle. We returned to the kville area, and it turns out the team left us. So Hayden and I ripped off our jerseys and wanted to play in the rain. Well, of course it stopped raining. So we took pictures of ourselves. We then called Wolf, and he yelled at us for not hurrying. Pshh. Oh well, we had fun. Then the meet restarted. Tata told Belen, JC, and I we didn't have to run the 2 mile so we didn't. It started downpouring during the 800s, so we left right after them. Then Taco Bell. Woop woop. Then home.

Today, I went shopping. Yes, me, shopping. Funny how that works. So I got 3 polo shirts, 3 pairs of shorts, capris, and a running tank top. I also got sunglasses and a busch gardens silver passport. So, that was...great. And my mom bought cake at the grocery store for no reason whatsoever. I'm not complaining.

I've actually been running over spring break. I've done 2 out of the 6 workouts that Tata gave us. And today when I was running, I ran past Hirsch's house as he was mowing the lawn. Just lovely. Too bad none of the workouts said "run to Tom's house." Pity. But I suppose I could work that into the "run for 45 minutes to an hour and a half." There was a little kid soccer practice going on while I was running cutdowns at the park. I miss those days.

Now I must shower and practice. The fluting ain't going too well for the chorus musical, but that's the reason why I'm practicing.
