Jchan, Mecchan, Neesan, I got a question for you guys.

While I'm home, would you maybe be interested in a one-off, low-level campaign? Just like one session. I could try my hand at DMing, and I can make you characters if you tell me what race or class you'd like. Would you maybe be up for something like that?

I don't mind trying it! Just know that I've never played it and have no idea what to do or what anything means, will probably be lost as hell, and have moments of "omg I'm going to make an ass of myself somehow I just know it"--but I'm willing to try it.

And I have no idea what sort of race/class I'd like >.> What would you advise?

Miguel actually suggested you guys use pregen characters, but I can also make some for you. But there are a slew of characters. I guess the main questions are: how close to human you wanna be, and do you wanna deal damage, take it, or heal?

Huh. Well...I'd rather deal out damage than anything. Much more satisfying than just sitting there and taking it.

Hmm, you'd prolly like Ranger then. Long-distance damage-dealers (usually archers). Or a sorcerer.

Ohhhh, I do like my long-distance weapons~ *is pretty ace with a sniper rifle in Halo*

Er, what are my choices? ^^;

Human, Dwarf, Elf, Half-elf, Gnome, Halfling, Shifter, Eladrin. There are others but we'll keep it to the easier ones.

Let's make it interesting and go with half-elf. (But as an aside, what's the difference between that and a halfling? Are the halflings like hobbits or something?)

Yeah, halflings are basically hobbits. Half-elves are cool as you'll get an extra power, and they make rather good rangers.

Oh dear. Like...what sort of things? Grew up in X place, is Y years old, and Z kind of ambitions in life and wants to do these things, but first has to take care of things?

Uh, kinda? Personality and basic background, although maybe I should think up the campaign before then to give you some stuff to work with.

Yeah, I think knowing the sort of situation we're gonna be in will definitely help, especially with motivation for being there, what sort of setting, etc.
