So, Spaz and I were talking. And I realise I shoulda thought of this when narutalk had the discussion but...
TehSpazMousie: Hey.. if a Hyuuga and an Uchiha had a kid... which eye would they kid?

duochic: i think it would be a toss up
TehSpazMousie: *which eye would they HAVE
TehSpazMousie: Wouldn't it be the Byakygan?
TehSpazMousie: Because th Byakugan is where the Sharingan came from?
duochic: prolly, but the two eyes are so different now that it's like the sharingan is its own thing now
duochic: it's been a long time since they separated. what i wanna know is how the sharingan came from the byakugan. was it some kinda weak!byakugan or like, deformed or something?
duochic: ...dammit, i shoulda discussed that on narutalk
TehSpazMousie: Because there's all these fics where Sauske uses Hinata to further the Clan... I just wanna know if it would WORK
TehSpazMousie: Would the kid end up with neither?
duochic: no, i think it would get one or the other.
duochic: if they bred enough hyuuga with uchiha and inbred them, i think it would mutate into something else entirely after a while.
