today in english i learned that:
-the bc gov. shut down womens crisis lines
-if a spouse is beating a wife the woman automatically pressed charges(usedto) and now she has to say press charges forit to happen thats hard to do for a wife.
-woman crisis line was often used as an alternative to women who'd been raped other than police and now it is being run by male police officers.
-womens centres are also being closed.
-in saudi arabia 14 girls were forced to burn inside a building cuz they werent wearing their full garb. thats horrible, police watched them sizzle and fry.
-women in the womens martch martched backwards this year saying that we werent going forwards in bc.
-gender equality wages are no longer in affect (boys get more than girls again)
-the UN sanctioned the BC gov. for their unfair treatment to women and children.
--take a stand for women you know. love them and cherish them. and i'm writing minister stephens a letter saying she is selling women out. who's in?-
