Today is a good day

I love the rain.

I woke up today and made some coffee, then played guitar for awhile, then sat on the front step and smoked a cigarette and drank some coffee and watched the rain. I hope it rains like this for the rest of the week.

EXCITING NEWS: that cluster of eggs that appeared on the spot where Monster Moth was perched for so long have hatched, and there are little tiny caterpillar larvae, MONSTER MOTH SPAWN!! It makes me so happy, because I was sad when I saw her dead on the ground, but she reproduced and now there will be more monster moths! It's a weird thing to be happy about, I know, but I am getting more interested in bugs lately. I still hate spiders and cockroaches, but other things can be pretty cool. I heard a really fascinating piece on dung beetles on NPR the other day.

My family is coming in this weekend and my aunts and cousins are staying at my house in georgetown. I'm excited to see them, and glad that the house will be full of people for once.

Also, Bryan has probably found an apartment and it sounds really nice. A little more than I would like to pay, but he's paying more because he wants it so bad; it's right in the middle of D.C., and so close to his work that he'll virtually never have to take the metro, which cuts out a lot of monthly expenses for him. I leave in a little less than two weeks, which I'm still trying to wrap my mind around; I'm starting to get really bummed out about leaving all my friends. But, still looking forward to the change.
