So for those of you who don't know, Bryan got a job with a polling firm in DC. He is moving there in one week, I will stick around for a month or two until he finds an apartment, and then I'm moving with him and finding a job.
So yeah! Washington Mother D Fucking C! I am excited about getting out of Texas and living in a place with real seasons, and free museums, and amazing food. I am not excited about living in a swamp which used to be the murder capital of the world, with really expensive food, where it will probably be hard to find a job, but those downsides are negligible. Especially since my dad is going to hook me up with some mace; none of that pussy pepper-spray, dudes, we are talking about bona-fide, black market mace.
There's a slight chance we might be moving to San Francisco instead, if Bryan gets a counter-offer from a better job he interviewed for, but right now we are operating under the assumption that we are heading to D.C.
I'm mostly excited. Sad that we'll be apart for a few months, but it's no big deal. Worried that I won't be able to find a job and stressed about how tight money will be. But really, so excited to get out of Texas for a little while.
MATTERS AT HAND: We are going to Schlitterbaun on Tuesday. YOU SHOULD ALL COME. Also, Bryan's birthday is coming up. Probably on Saturday we are going to a shooting range, and then afterwards hosting a birthday/going-away get-together at the house in georgetown. Please come and say goodbye to Bryan! I'll still be around for awhile, but he won't, and he'd love to see everyone before he leaves. Also, anyone who wants to come shoot guns with us is obviously welcome.
