(no subject)
Hey people.
I'm at the library with my granny and i'd thought i'd get on my eljay for a sec. So, how are you guys doing? I hope your guy's 4th was awsome. As was mine, if your wondering.
I'm so excited to start work in to days. There's three big art projects in it and a theather act!!! I want to work on the sculpture thing and I definately have to be in that drama project.
I've been a bit bored, but not really. I've been working on joy's and mione novel a lot. I have a good amount of work done. well, maybe not that much, but I'm working on it.
Ok so the weirdest thing happened a couple days ago and it pissed me off beyond belief. I called my friend yousuf (you all know him I mention him alot, a real jerk, but really sweet sometimes), nothing unusual. I always call him. Anyways, he answer and sounds a little weird so i ask him if he wants me to call him back later. before he responds I hear a woman go, hello? I freak because it's probably his mom and i dont like talking to parents. i say hello back, of course and sshe asks me who this is. I told her ashley.
this is how the rest went.
her: well, ashley, yousuf isn't allowed to talk to girlson the phone
me: um. why?
her: he practices this religion called islam and it's not allowed.
me:what if i was islamic?
her: are you?
me: maybe
her: i dont think your islamic
me: well i just had a change of heart
her: i'm sorry but could you not call Yousuf anymore
me. I dont mean to be rude, but why?
her: like i said, he's islamic.
me: so....?
her: it's not allowed.
me: is he allowed to talk to guiys who aren't islamic?
her: well, yes
me:then why not a girl?
her:because....
me: i dont think that's right
her: it's not about what you think, it's about what Alllah thinks.
me:Allah doesn't think. He's dead.
her: excuse me? are you making fun of my religion?
me: no i'm making fun of my own.
her:well-
me: you know what? I'm sorry. For being rude, for calling your son, being his friend, whatever. i'm going to go now.
her: ok, if you have anymore questions dont hesitate to bother me.
me:uh-huh
that's when I hung up. I was so mad. I didnt mean to be a bitch to her, but she made me so mad. I hate islam (sorry to any of you who are islamic). Yousuf was my friend thus i'm pissed.
ugh. so talk to yopu in a while. wish me luck on monday!
