Comfortably Numb
I was watching CNN this morning, and along the little bottom ticker I see a message that says "Syd Barret dead at 60" Damn.
For those to stupid, ill informed, and uneducated enough to know who Syd Barret was, he was Pink Floyd's first lead singer. He left the band in 1968 because an overdose on LSD and Qualudes left with severe schizophrenia. Syd still wrote songs for the band, and they dedicated their "Wish you were Here" albumn to him, saying, "Shine on you crazy diamond."
Syd was one of my favorite song writters, I'd say he's better than Dylan. I guess he finally got to that "Great Gig in the Sky" he talked about so much.
