Take 2
So I had a whole journal entry typed out, but I think Livejournal ate it. I clicked 'Publish' but it took me to the new editor instead of publishing my entry. So now I am mildly upset and annoyed. Let's try this again.
Hello world.
I am not sure what brought me back to Livejournal. I have noticed my interests tended to be cyclical. I invariably return to the same interests, games, hobbies, music, books, what have you - every few months to every few years. I think there's comfort in familiarity.
For instance, I am currently in what I'd like to call my 'Beatles Renaissance era' (It's that darned Disney+ docuseries! Quite excellent, if lengthy).
I'm not certain that I'll pick up journaling again on a regular basis, but I do believe journaling is good for the soul. It's the next best thing to driving to your nearest beachside cliff and shouting your innermost secrets into the deep blue, such as "I finally figured out who is my favourite Beatle!" (spoiler: it's George Harrison).
It only took me 15 years to figure that out.
For whatever reason, this revelation has hit me emotionally like a 2-ton truck. I'll need to somehow sort out my feelings. This is probably why I came back to livejournal.
