This is just an announcement concerning some of the world building we have been doing. For those of you who keep an eye on the Wiki, you might have noticed new pages going up recently, and other pages that were put up a while back finally being gotten to. Success!
Well, this is what we have so far. Some of these are still works in progress, but we wanted to point you in their direction so that you could know things were happening and to keep an eye on them!
First of all, we have created a Ministry, with a bunch of Departments. Some of these are Harry Potter canon, some are adapted from canon, and some we simply made up because canon was lacking. You can find the index for the Departments here!
We are also making more detailed pages on the NPCs, which we hope to have more active from now on. You can find an index of these NPCs here.
Have you (or your character) ever wondered why it is that with all the stuff ups at Hogwarts, Cid is still Headmaster? You can find his background, featuring some of the history for the world of Squarewarts, here.
We are also making locations folders, one for locations on the school grounds and another for general world locations. These are still very much in the early stages, though for ideas of what we are doing you can go here for school stuff and here for general world locations.
IMPORTANT FOR PEOPLE WHO PLAY ORPHANS!
In our world building and NPC development, there has been an orphanage established. The woman who runs this orphanage, Edea Kramer, is also responsible for the many grants, scholarships and random benefactors who help your money deprived students attend the school! If you'd like to read up on this and maybe retcon it into your characters history, you can go here.
IMPORTANT FOR CHARACTERS WITH SPECIAL CANON ABILITIES!
We announced this in our last week change, but in case anyone missed it, we have created a new page dedicated to different branches of magic. You can find the page here. We created this to both create a distinct world for Squarewarts and help out people adapting canon abilities to the game. Also, just because it seemed like a fun thing to do.
SO YEAH. Basically plot is happening, and we are working hard to create a more complete world that you can have your characters react to.
