What happens to characters after they've finished their seventh year? I was thinking of taking my character from that time but couldn't find anything about what happens when they've finished. Are the characters dropped?
Squarewarts runs on sort of an infinite time loop. Characters are not moved up years in-game, and they do not graduate. The game is just played out as one very long school year.
I... don't know if there is a way to do that. People generally just add themselves to their buddy lists and then invite themselves to the chat room "squarewarts."
I'd like to apply for a character that was dropped a little while ago, but is it okay if I start them from scratch with a new history and such? I didn't see anything on this in the FAQ section, which is why I'm asking here. >>;
This is in regards to Original Characters. I love the idea of having OCs here but it would be wonderful if some of the restrictions could be lifted from them

We have considered and discussed your suggestions, but we have decided to maintain our current requirements for original characters at Squarewarts. Our reasons for this are as follows:
Firstly, while classes and staff positions are not as limited as they have been in the past, additional classes must fit both the character and the setting, and must not overlap too much with current classes. Thus, our staff positions are still limited, and we wish to keep these reserved for fandom characters, especially considering there are many that would be difficult to app as a student or ghost. We feel there is more flexibility with OCs in this regard, as they are the creation of the player applying to play them.
Secondly, while we wholeheartedly agree that Squarewarts is distinctly removed from the world of Harry Potter canon, our vision for Squarewarts is that non-humans, whether staff or students, remain relatively rare and odd. This is also in keeping with our

So, I have an idea for a small plot with Leoben, and figured I just ought to check with you mods before I went ahead and did it. And I wasn't sure where else to ask.
This is going along with what I set up in his backstory about him still being involved with a few illegal activities. The plot as I see it, involves Leoben receiving a package of illegal material, and having to smuggle it out of Hogwarts. I figure this could lead to various shenanigans happening as he attempts to leave without anyone finding out. Eventually I'd like to see something like this become an ongoing thing, potentially to the point where Leoben's duel identity starts coming to light.
This is just a rough outline at the moment, but is it cool for me to run with this idea?
