Roxas looked up at the Professor, his eyes looking ready to burst into tears at any moment. "I'll be fine," he answered, just like he'd lied to Axel--and barely any better. He looked away as he spoke. "I'll be just fine without anyone trying to help."
He was probably going to get in trouble for this...but he was much less worried about that right now than he was about how things with Axel were going to go this year. He'd never gotten so emotional around Axel before, and he had no idea why he had just this time. It felt...different, being around him. And making Axel worry about him that way made him feel different too.
