February second was by far one of Howl's least favorite days of the year. This year, it was the mark of his twenty-sixth birthday. Nothing ever happened worth celebrating on his birthday and today was no acceptation. In fact, today was probably the worst birthday he had ever experienced. As per usual, he got up and went to take a shower. Only to find to his horror that the pipes had frozen over night and not a single drop of water would come out. To release his anguish he shut himself up in his office and that was when the slime started.
The slime first came upwards from the pipes, oozing out of the drains of all the showers. Then to any unfortunate to wish to shower, bathe or even wash their hands it came pouring downwards in thick puddles. Then right about the time breakfast started was when the wailing began. It was feint at first but eventually reached a crescendo through the entirety of the dungeons that has yet to stop. It was roughly an hour later that green slime also began pouring from the dungeon walls around the Potion Master's office.
Anyone who wished to walk in to Howl's office would find it unlocked, as per usual. However to get in one would have to push past the slime oozing upon the floor. In the middle of a completely-slime covered room they would find the (usually) blond man sitting upon a chair looking very blank as he stared in to the fireplace. One would never guess that he had been the creator of this entire mess, as not a word came from his mouth. Instead, it was as if it was coming directly from the walls. Not to mention, every inch from his usually flaxen hair to his usually shiny boots was completely covered in slime. In fact, it looked much like it was oozing directly out of the man's pours, if possible.
