The deck of The Prima Vista gleamed in the mid-afternoon sun, and its captain stared off into the distance, her expression pensive, hair billowing in the wind. The crisp, cold winter air did not seem to bother her. She thought instead of the road ahead. The last adventure they'd been on had ended with an excess of gambling debt and three dead men to add to her already...prolific reputation. But there was no enjoyment in life without gambles.
And this gamble, well...it would be well worth it. Beyond worth it. She planned this time to make away with the daughter of a wealthy governor, had been planning for weeks. The girl would be worth a hefty ransom, she wagered, and what sort of pirate would she be if she didn't take such an opportunity?
Lilith smirked. Today would be a fantastic day.
