Ellie was a little down that she wasn't going home for the holidays, but still excited to spend it in a castle in Scotland. She was still getting a lay of the land, but all the books she borrowed from the Library were certainly helping. Since there weren't any classes, she was exploring around the castle.

As she was walking past the doorway, she heard Lilo's voice. She glanced outside and grinned at all the snow. It would be just right for a snowman. She was glad she brought her winter coat along. She quickly threw it on with a pair of mittens and bolted out the door.

"Hi, Lilo!" she greeted.

Lilo turned around to see her fellow classmate run up towards her and waved, "Hi Ellie!" Seemed to be a lot of students staying behind for the holidays but, most of them were older and independent people, not so many of the kids her age. "I didn't know you were staying for the holidays."

Leaning over, she called out again to her pet, "Stitch! Come say hello!" To which the little blue dog yelled, "NAGA!" in return.

"Who wouldn't want to stay in a castle for Christmas? It's so much better than just sitting at home with my parents." She only felt a little bad for the lie.

"Aww, doesn't he like the snow?" she asked

Lilo looked over at Stitch with a frown, "No, he just doesn't like water. He's never seen snow before now and is just wary of it." She's never seen snow up close either but, that was another story.

"That's a shame! Everybody needs to play in the snow at least once in their lives. Maybe we should make him some other dog friends so he'll come out. We can even practice spells and try to change them colors," she enthused, already making a little family of animals in her head.

"I'm not sure," Lilo said looking over at Stitch for a moment as he scratched behind his ear with his foot, "He doesn't play nice with other dogs."

or anyone else now that she thought of it.

"Oh," Ellie replied, already deflating. Her parents wouldn't allow her to have a dog so she wasn't sure how else to get him out into the snow. She could probably force him, but that wouldn't be fun for any of them.

"Well, do you know of anything to get him out here or will we just have to construct the best snowman ever without him?"

That was the thing about Stitch. He wasn't exactly dog like in the way that normal dog tactics would work on him. He seemed a bit too smart for those. "Nope but I'm sure when he sees how much fun we're having, he'll want to join in too!"

"Okay!" she replied. She wasn't going to let some dog get in the way of her making a snowman. She hadn't made one since last Christmas. And now that she was a wizard, she was certain it would be a whole lot better. She set to work rounding up a mound of snow. "So, what do you think we should make? I'm thinking Amelia Earheart. Or maybe a chocobo."

"Amelia Earheart," Lilo nodded as she packed a small mound in her hands, "If you make it a chocobo, Stitch might attempt to eat it."

Stitch was still on the side, sniffing at the ground and occasionally patting his foot on it before recoiling a little. He appears very nervous about the current outdoors.

"Amelia it is!" Ellie agreed, before realizing something. "I'm not that good at making people snowmen. Are you?" she asked, looking at the shapeless ball of snow in her hands.
