WELCOME TO OUR OOC CLASS LOG!

How this will work, is that professors who wish to hold an OOC log post a thread for each year of their classes, labelled with the year and class. Then, students reply and we carry out one of our OOC logs. For examples of how our OOC logs are carried out, please go hereIf you find that events are carried out in the ( Read more... )

Hello Class. You might have noticed that you you have a new teacher now, yes? Soubi is standing at the front of the art room with his name on the board, Soubi Agatsuma, or Professor Agatsuma. It seems he's been playing with the chalk and made it rather nice looking.

Everyone please sit down so we can get started. On each of the desks there is a quiz. Soubi has no idea what you do and do not know, so he is going to test you to see where you are. Most of the questions you should know, basics on all types of art skills, but there are a few harder ones. On the back are a few questions on what you would like to learn and what types of art you like best.

When you are done he asks that you bring your quiz up front so he can talk to you one at a time. If there is someone already up there then please wait.

Alright? Go.

Oh no! A test!

Orihime is so excited to meet you, Miss New Teacher Professor Agatsuma, she will be beaming at you from her seat like a ray of sunshine.

She'll take a while on the quiz, trying really hard to remember the answers to all the questions she can't answer. When she brings it up she'll apologise for not answering three of the questions. ;; She'll do better next time, she promises.

Ah, miss? Soubi doesn't bother with correcting Orihime until she is at his desk with the quiz. Soubi is a man, and would be very happy if she didn't call him a miss again.

Soubi looks over her test and smiles. It's fine, Orihmie. This quiz will not affect your grade. It was just so I can know where everyone in the class room stands and what I can help you with. is there anything you would like to become better at this year, Orihime?

Oh- ohno! Orihime will be SO VERY APOLOGETIC, SHE DIDN'T REALISE, UM. BUT YOU HAVE VERY BEAUTIFUL HAIR, SIR AND SHE THOUGHT UM. WELL.

Once the embarrased flailing has stopped she'll declare that she'd like to get better at EVERYTHING! \o/ But especially her painting and sketching lifelike objects.

Soubi lets her flail it off, she was amusing. It will be fine, just please remember to stick to calling him only Professor Agatsuma in the future.

Soubi would be very happy to help her with those skills then. He is a Japanese painter by training, so you are in luck. There will be papers though. Soubi is happy to have Orihime in his class. Would she like to ask him any questions?

YESSIR. PROFESSOR AGATSUMA. SIR. ;~~~~~~~~;

Oh, of course! She expected that there would be tests and papers... and goodness, Orihime would love to see some of your paintings, if that wouldn't be too much of a bother! She goes back to Japan in the summer to stay with her cousins, but they don't have any art in their house.

Soubi has his paintings set up in his office. She is welcome to stop by to see them during his office hours.

Oh, is that allowed? She wouldn't want to impose...

Orihime was invited to come, so nothing to worry about. It is fine if she does not wish to come though. either or.

Ataru answers all the easy questions but misses some of the harder ones.
He mentions manga as what he likes and shunga prints as what he would like to learn about.

He has to look at the paper for your name. Hello Ataru. He's going to look over your quiz. Hmm, well that was good to see you were able to answer the easy ones.

then he flips the page... right. He looks up and Ataru and informs him they will never study shunga prints, ever. Perhaps if he can find an open minded professor in higher muggle education then he could study them, but this is not the setting for such things. Is there anything else he would like to learn about?

Woodblock printing doesn't necessarily have to be erotic. Ataru first thinks of Muggle technology based things that wouldn't really work in Hogwarts. He likes sculpting, but there was plenty of that already covered.

How about mosaics?

If you knew proper Japanese then you should know that shunga is by definition erotic art. If you wanted to study woodblock prints, then you should have said so instead of being so specific. This is a warning for you. Keep your mind out of the gutter or he will take points.

As for mosaics he will keep that in mind. Please sit back down.
