Hospital wing || Open

It had been a very long weekend and even with his tolerance for pain... this still sucked. Who knew Kakaclan blood didn't mix so well with some of these potions, looked like it'd take a little longer for everything to fully heal. His ribs were better after two days but his head still killed him and he still wasn't used to the sling around his arm.

He sighs and settles back against the pillow with a sour looking expression. Friends they were going to be the death of him, the female ones most of all! He silently contemplates the life of a hermit as he awaits the okay to leave from one of the nurses.

Yuiko didn't have to stay in the hospital ward since she was never really injured, just suffered from shock for a bit. She knew Ritsuka had it worse than what she had, so she had made a bookmark for when he needed it reading by hand, but this time she made sure there was no glitter to be seen at all because she knew that would annoy him.

She calmly walked to the hospital wing, bookmark in hand as she looked around for two cat ears that might be poking out somewhere that would be Ritsuka. Watching over people she soon spotted them as she came running in his general directions. "Ritsuka!" She smiled happy to see him even though it hadn't been that long since they last saw each other.

Said ears perked up in surprised at the sudden shout, but the voice was quickly recognized and really... who else would go about shouting in a hospital ward? '... Speak of the devil.' He internally grumbles and pushes himself up into a seated position on the bed.

"Yuiko..." He thoguht to tell her about her volume but it was pretty pointless when she was excited and it'd just make her start pouting anyway. "A-are you okay, Yuiko?" True it hadn't been to long since he'd left her in the safety of the common room to go help Ciel look for Lizzie, but knowing Yuiko it wasn't too far fetched for her to get into more trouble in even the shortest of time apart, but what he was really concerned over what how she was handling all the things she had recently witness.

She tilted her head slightly. Was she ok? She wasn't sure counted as being okay, but that wasn't the point. "I'm fine Ritsuka, I did get hurt and I did what you said and stayed in the common room for the rest of what was going on." She felt like that was an achievement in itself, that she did what she was told for once because she knew that Ritsuka was usually always right.

She held out the present before anything more could be said. "This is for you, I made it while it was still going on and I just finished it today." She still had her head tilted to the side with a smile, hoping that he wouldn't hate it like she thought he might.

Ritsuka paused a moment when she said she had been hurt but before he could question further something was being held out in front of his face. His ears perk in confusion as he tried to figure out why she was holding a card out to him.

"What?" He blinked at her before realizing what she was saying. "You made this... for me?" The perplexed look never leaving his face. He's... never had someone put the time in to make him something before... well not that he could remember anyway. "W-why are you giving me stuff, Yuiko?" He didn't look upset, just confused.

"I would of gotten flowers to...but a lot of them were destroyed during this whole thing." She looked down ever so slightly, still holding the bookmark out to him, still upset at her clumsy she had been and all the trouble she had caused.

"I made this for you, it won't make you feel better, but it's a start." Adding a slight laugh at the end a smile ever present she finally placed the thing down in front of him. "It's a bookmark and there isn't any glitter on it either so you can't be mad at me."

At being asked about why she was giving him stuff she tilted her head, being confused about what exactly he meant by that. Did she do something wrong? Wasn't she meant to do something like this for a friend? "Because your my friend Ritsuka that's why."

Ritsuka continued to stare at her almost like she was speaking some foreign language! Well, technically she was since their native language was Japanese yet she was speaking in English, but this was a completely different thing all together! Flowers? Gifts? What?

His eyes followed her hands as she placed the bookmark beside him. It was hand-made... He slowly picks it up with his good hand and run his fingers over. It was good to for hand-made! Though he knew he'd need to take good care of it even if it hadn't been.

"T-thanks... I'll.. take good care of it, Yuiko..." He has a faint smile but hasn't looked up from the bookmark yet.

Was she saying something wrong? Or did he not understand? Yuiko was confused as to why he was just staring at her and she didn't know just how to say something. Anything would be better than nothing, but nothing had come to mind straight away. So she just stared at the floor.

Hearing that he would take good care of it made her smiled an extremely cheerful smile appearing on her face as with a hint of happiness in her voice she spoke. "You really will. I'm very happy you said that I really am."

He finally looks up from the gift to Yuiko's smiling face and can't help faintly blushing in embarrassment. "W-well of course I will, I could actually use a bookmark anyway." He says, stubbornly turning his face away from her, resisting the urge to say something mean just to defuse this annoyingly touching moment.

Why was she so happy though? 'Such a weirdo.' Still, he was glad she could still act so happy. Ritsuka wouldn't know what to do with a sad Yuiko. "Have you been able to get into you common room? How's everything looking?" He hadn't been out of the hospital since after the evacuation. He just hoped his camera was still okay...

She was happy that it was something he could use and not something useless like she usually did most of the time. She made a face when she realized she could of brought a book with her to so that Ritsuka had something to read while he was in the hospital wing, but she forgot.

"I haven't gone back to my own common room yet no, but from what I have heard all the commons rooms are pretty messed up, like the one I was in was pretty beaten up and half gone." She wasn't sure of how the whole school was all she knew was that most places were rubble while others were just very dirty.

A book would of been nicer than flowers though he was more focused on the whereabouts of his camera now. His ears sank back down against his head as she describes the state of the common rooms. He could only hope that since Ravenclaw was up in the towers it'd be safe.

"Mn, you want to go for a walk, Yuiko?" He says finally getting sick of this place. The nurses seemed busy enough for him to slip out and slip back in. He didn't wait for her to answer, he was already tugging the sheets away and slipping out of bed.

"Ritsuka, you can't leave the hospital wing without permission!" Her face looked determined for once for him to do as he was told instead of him telling her what to do she was going to worry a lot if he strained himself too much.

"If the nurse said you can walk, that's ok, but if you weren't told this then you should put too much strain on yourself, I don't want to have to bring you back here in a worst state than before." Tears appearing from the corner of her eyes, arms up close against her body and ears pressed down against her head as she was generally upset if something did happen.

Oh for the love of! Ritsuka's ears stood up when the girl started fussing loudly. "Will yo-" He looked actually surprised by the determined look on Yuiko's face... was she... actually trying to take charge? "Uh..." He was at a momentary loss of words as she continued wondering just what had gotten into her.

"Calm down Yuiko, it's just a bit of fresh air, you don't have to cry..." He says, raising his good arm and running a hand through his hair. Still, there was little point in trying, her fussing seems to have drawn a little attention from one of the nurses. "Tch, fine. I'll stay."

'Idiot.' He adds silently.

Victory was Yuiko's for once as she was cheering quietly in her head that for once he listened to her. "Good, Ritsuka needs plenty of rest, that way you can heal much quicker, then you can go for a walk to get some fresh air. Unless you have an adult with you, then they can keep an eye on you."

She may be fussy, but she only cared about Ritsuka's health and safety above all else and she was determined that he at least get enough rest before going out, or at least ask the nurses first to see if it was ok for him to go.

An adult to keep an eye on him? What did Yuiko take him for, a defenseless infant?! His brow frowned the more she spoke and ears dropping back down. "I don't need an adult to watch over me like some little kid." Ritsuka said moodily. "I can take care of myself just fine." He almost had a mind to get up anyway just to prove his point, but the sudden shouting made him slightly dizzy so he decided against it... for the time being.

"If I want to take a walk then I'll take one!"

"Ritsuka we don't know what can happen if you try and walk before your told to, it could just make it worse." Her ears had started to drop slightly, it was like he was yelling at her in his own way and in Yuiko's head all she wanted to do was help, but apparently she was wrong.

"You can try, but if your told not to it's always for a good reason."
