She hummed to herself as she made her way to the library, her robes flowing behind her. Who knew this place would have a library with books about aliens! If only Mejere had those books. She wouldn't have so many questions. The pulling sensation increased as she neared the library, but she brushed it off as excitement about her books.
Dita didn't know where the books were hiding, so she figured she'd just walk around until she found them. Or the librarian. She didn't know where they were either. She was so intent at staring at all the books, that she didn't notice when she bumped into another student. "Oh, sorry!" she apologized.

And then it completely disappeared. She did not, however, get the chance to think on it as a weight clipped her side and she stumbled a step back at the impact.
A blink, a cocked eyebrow, and then her face spread into that warm, happy grin she was all-too-well-known for. "That's alright, I wasn't paying any attention, either."
She bowed her head a bit as a farewell and moved to take her leave... when her skin tingled, then prickled, and then...
She recoiled back a couple steps, the feeling dissipating, and stood, confused, staring at her own body as though it had somehow betrayed her... then looked at the girl she had just bumped into... did she feel that too or was Sei just getting sick... in a very strange way?

Nothing she could see or feel in the area. Maybe she would just-
And as soon as she took another couple steps the tingling sensation began, and she stopped, stepping back. "Well then. I wonder, does the school just want us to stay in the library? ... This section, specifically?" Ah, the mind of a Ravenclaw, already beginning to try to formulate a solution.

She smiled widely at Sei, pleased to be making a new acquaintance. "Have you always gone to Hogwarts?"

"And no, I've only been here..." She thought about it for a moment, tapping at her chin with her finger. "Mnn, maybe two or three months? I don't remember, it's so busy around here for me."

She sank to the floor, certain they were trapped her until who knew when! She might as well be comfortable. She patted the ground next to her and invited Sei to join her.

"I... I don't think I've met anyone not from this planet, though I guess with the mentality of some of the people here, their Earthling status might be questionable," she winked, settling back against the books. Well, she could think of worse ways to spend a morning.

At Sei's second comment, Dita's hopes rose again. Perhaps there really were aliens! She was determined to find them. She grabbed her backpack to make a note of who Sei was when she remembered she still had a few leftover cookies. Not one to waste, she pulled them out and offered one to Sei. "Would you like one?"

"Ah..." Well, it would likely be rude to refuse. "Alright, seeing as I'm not sure if we'll be able to make lunch." Her grin returned, full-force, thankful, and she nodded her head as she took it.
She chewed on it, thoughtfully, as she quickly tried to ponder another topic of discussion - silences were going to be long and awkward if she didn't. "So, why the interest in aliens?"

She grinned, always eager to share her love of aliens with others. Some of her peers at Beabaxtons got tired of listening to her tales. Even the other girls in Mejere didn't want to listen to her. "Do you have a favorite alien?"

But alas, such thoughts were not welcome in the presence of such happiness.
"I'm not sure I know enough about aliens to have a favorite one," Sei replied, carefully. "Science fiction was never a strong suit of mine."

She took another bite of her cookie and pondered their situation. "What do you think is keeping us here? Do you think we're supposed to find a special book or something?"
Reply
"That may be it. It may also just be a random influx of magical energy that we need to outwait. Either way, I'm hoping it doesn't last long." She leaned her head back against the books, staring up at the shelves across from her, then looked about. "I wonder if anyone else has gotten it. Usually when things like this happen it effects the whole school... or at least from what I've seen."
