WHAT: Sakura, having realized that Thomas is the one Canon Harry told her about all those months ago, decides it's time to talk to Harry
RATING: PG
Harry had learned from personal experience that whenever anyone told you in a locked post over the journals that they needed to talk to you about something, said something was never about how they wanted you to try their new cupcakes, or how they wished to recruit you onto a bikini contest judging panel. No, generally it was something serious and potentially life altering that would undercut the foundations of what you knew to be true. Really, some days Harry wondered if he shouldn't just run screaming for the hills anytime someone said 'we need to talk.'
Of course, in this instance it was also Sakura saying this, which meant one of two things. First, she considered the matter important enough to Harry that she was willing to share it with him despite knowing how heavily his current burdens weighted on him. There were few people in the world Harry would trust to determine what was in his own best interests besides himself, but Sakura was one of them. He trusted her more than almost anyone else, and if she thought he needed to know whatever she had to say, then he needed to know it; plain and simple.
The second possibility was that it was Sakura who needed the help, in which case the only way Harry would stay away would be if he were dead. Sakura had been a true friend to him, cared about him in ways few people had, and helped him without question, and in doing so had earned the sort of deep love and trust that only came from a true friendship. He wouldn't help out of some sense of obligation, or because he thought he owed her, or even to make himself feel better, it was simply that she was Sakura, and that was enough of a reason for him.
So he sat and waited for her, and tried not to let his imagination go overboard with doomsday scenarios.
