Right now, though. Now she faced her greatest challenge yet. Her most determined foe. The boldest and most deadly of rivals.
"CATTY-CHAN!" Her voice cut through the air, the song of a fog horn blasting across the sea of silence. "CATTY-CHAN, QUIT IT!" In a noble effort to stop the affront to her dignity, Usagi flailed around Catty, the whirlwind motion of her arms bound to hypnotise her, dissuade her from her task.
"CATTY QUIT PAINTING ME AND SOMA, I'M SERIOUS!!!!!"

Her hand kept moving despite these hellish protests, paint brush making long, yellow strokes across the canvas. Of course, had she the time, it would have looked a lot better, but it still wasn't bad work, and she felt as though she were really capturing Usagi's essence.
"But it's of you two kissing~" Catty sang out absently, glancing up only once to see the flailing blonde before going back to her work. "So cute. Don't you want it to happen, Usagi~?"

Had she really been gone long enough to forget what things were like here? Apparently. Giving Usagi's wildly helicoptering limbs a wide berth, she attempted to drag her trunk across the far end of the room towards the door without catching their attention. Of course, it snagged on the carpet, and she had to give it an extra tug, teeth gritted. A tug that sent it sprawling on its side, and everything within spilling out onto the floor. Groaning internally, she hoped they were still too caught up in what they were doing to note her, and she started picking up the odd assortment of things and shoving them back in the trunk.

"I DO BUT--" NO! NO!!! She had said too much! Usagi clapped a hand over her mouth (unsuccessfully, as her mouth was open wider than should be possible for any human) and her eyes bugged. "JUST STOP PAINTING!" Her voice was a siren song. In the land of opposites, of course: here it was just barely intelligible garbling at an ungodly volume.
With her nemesis remaining resolute in her torment, Usagi had only one option. She flailed herself into tackling Catty -- and sending them sprawling into Integra's scattered belongings.

And then the unimaginable happened.
Usagi tackled Catty. Tackled her while she was in the middle of painting.
Catty would have sworn she heard something snapped as she fell to the floor in a pile of items, the other girl on top of her. The brunette went really still, staring at the broken paintbrush in her hand and the yellow paint that had spilled over everything.
"Usagi."

Was that paint?! Paint on her OFFICIAL HELLSING DOCUMENTS?! Top secret files, letters from the Round Table, work she had to do...
Her entire body tensed up, her shoulders going rigid with anger, and she reached out and smacked the broken paintbrush out of Catty's hand, sending it spinning across the floor.
"Idiots," she spat, even as she leaned over again and tried to pick up the papers quickly, hoping to get some of them out of the yellow goo, but it was... too late. And the yellow paint stained her gloves, which only served as a source of extra frustration. If she didn't keep her teeth gritted together, grinding slowly, she would say a lot worse. And maybe take a page from Alucard, and literally bite someone's head off.

At this moment, Usagi saw her life flash before her eyes, but it was sort of like her life if she was a little more like a movie star, and her hair was a little yellower in her imagination. Weird.
She paled, tried to stand, and slipped in the paint. There was an audible tearing of paper. "Oh no, I'm sorry, I'm sorry," another tear, and sort of soggy splatter, and then a sob as she grabbed something (a shirt) and tried to clean some of the documents, and as she lay on top of them and sort of... continued to spread the paint. "I'll fix it, don't worry!"

But since she was already digging herself a deeper hole, yellow paint smearing all over the place...
Catty pinched the bridge of her nose, torn between amusement and absolute horror. "I know how to clean the paint up... Usagi, come one. You're just making it all worse."
She didn't think that she could save those papers, though.

She ignored Catty's accusatory drivel, and even her mild attempts to get the other girl to stop destroying everything, and just yelled right over her:
"USAGI. Don't. Touch. Another. Thing." Her words rung with irritation and all the authority she was used to throwing around. Her hands shot out to grab up as much as she could before Hurricane Usagi could reach its shores.
It was a pretty small pile of papers that ended up in her hands.

There was a hiccup, first.
She'd somehow managed to freeze in a really awkward position, and she didn't want to move and get yelled at again, but now her leg was cramping up.
Then were a sniff.
And a sob.
She really didn't mean to make them mad--
"IIIIIII'MMMM SSSOOOORRRRRRRRYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!"
Well. On the plus tide, the tide of tears might get rid of some of the paint.
Maybe.
A little pathetically, she buried her face in some of the near-destroyed documents she help, and tried to wipe her face with them, even as the flood continued. (Unfortunately, this only succeeded in getting yellow paint smeared across her cheeks.)

Crying.
She twitched at the sniff and reached her hand out.
And then came the sobbing.
"Usagi, it's okay! Don't cry!" Catty touched her shoulder, squeezing it softly to get her friend to calm down, frowning deeply. She even bit back the sigh as the blonde cried into Integra's papers, succeeding only in getting paint all over her face. "Look, it's really not that important anyway."
Reply
And her head snapped around so that she might fix Catty with an icy glare when she dared to insinuate that what the other girl had done didn't matter and wasn't important.
"Neither of you have the slightest concept of what the word important truly means," she snapped. It was all she could do not to slap Usagi across the face to try to stop her wailing. Instead, she simply barked: "Cease that noise at once before you bring the Headmaster himself in here."

Naturally, this likely wasn't the best idea out there.
In the blink of an eye (maybe faster than Usagi had ever moved, excluding trying to get food) she had thrown herself at Integra's feet and latched her arms around her roommate's legs in an awkward embrace. "I'm really sorry, Integra-chan! I promise I'll try to fix it!"
Besides, the Headmaster wouldn't really come to their room.... right?

"I don't think you're all that qualified to say what either of us finds important," Catty said calmly, eyebrow arched as she stood up before looking back down at Usagi before answering her. "Yeah, and so are you, so you really should just calm down now."
She felt bad about the mess. Really, she did. And she knew that this was partially her fault, too, because she'd been the one with the paint, and she'd been the one who kept teasing Usagi. Catty frowned, both at the blonde hugging Integra's legs, and Integra yelling. "Look, it's all my fault, Integra, so stop yelling at her. I'll do what I can to help you fix this all up."
Reply
Of course not.
She stared down aghast as the girl wound her way around her legs, and immediately started trying to extricate them with little luck. She tried actually prying her off and almost sent both of them tumbling over in the process.
Catty was standing there defending her and the entire situation was so ludicrous and disastrous that it didn't do much to put Integra in a forgiving mood towards either of them.
"If you want to help, get this idiot off of me at once."

Well, it might have, if Integra hadn't said something mean. Like a jerk. A mean jerkfaced jerk mcmeanerson! "I'm not an idiot! Geez, we were just having fun and then you came in all mad!" Her cheeks puffed up (kind of made her look like an angry blonde tomato) and she prodded Integra in the stomach and stuck out her tongue.
"You need to learn to loosen up!" And look like an angry inky yellow-painted tomato. "Catty! Dontcha think she needs to have fun? It must be sad to be angry all the time!"
