Stepping down from the train platform, Cynthia closed her eyes and took a breath of the clean Scottish air. It really had been an interesting trip, the only other time she had been on a train was the electrical train that traveled between Johto and Kanto, and the Hogwarts Express was a very different experience from that high tech transport. She almost wished her other Pokemon could have joined her for the journey, but they would never have fit on the train, and so she had asked Professor Rowan to portkey them to the school in a few days, once she was settled in.
Of course, for some reason the ticket collector had been rather nervous about Garchomp, but Cynthia had assured the man that she was really very sweet. It hadn’t seemed to assure him that much, but when Garchomp gave him a smile he beat a hasty retreat. The big Pokemon had barely fit inside the compartment, and was clearly glad to now be out where she could stretch, if the way she was craning her neck and flapping her arms was any indication. Cynthia noted she would need to give the Mach Pokemon a good massage once they were settled. She also failed to note the way the rest of the passengers were giving her and her giant land shark a lot of space, but that was more because people always seemed to react to Garchomp like that. Really, one would think they would realize how sweet she was.
Adjusting her bag quickly while being careful of the tiny form wrapped tightly in blankets in her arms, Cynthia smiled up at her friend and said, “Well Garchomp, ready to explore another land?”
The massive Pokemon nodded with a toothy grin, and gave a happy hiss. Together Pokemon and trainer began to make their way along to path to the castle looming in the distance.
