It had been a long time since Ashelia had done this. She liked to believe it wasn't her nature to drop everything and run off to kill things on an impulse (and she was for the most part right) but she had finished all the paperwork she had scheduled for the weekend and the demonstration for the students had convinced her that she needed much more work to keep pace with the other professors. Hell, even the students seemed much more talented and...for lack of a better word, dangerous than she was.
And so, it was with this thought in mind that Ashelia considered entering this cave. The game in the forest proper were, on the whole, not very challenging opponents, and if anything could be said for caves such as the one Ashelia was standing in front of at that very moment, it was that they were generally more dangerous. More than anything else, though, the reason she was out here was that she missed exploring and adventuring with her friends. She longed for those days back almost more than she cared for governing her country.
The Queen sighed, shaking her head. No good would come of letting her mind wander down that path, true or not. And so, feeling as though entering the cave of her own volition would be an admission of guilt, she stood there, looking at it.
