The Three Broomsticksbattle_in_bloomMay 6 2010, 01:37:47 UTC
Sakura had agreed to meet Dionysus at the Three Broomsticks, and...honestly, was much less nervous than she previously would have thought she'd be. Maybe because she had some idea of where they both stood now, maybe because she'd pretty much completely embarrassed herself in front of him already and he was apparently still interested, or maybe just because...there were scarier things out there than not-dates with a friend. She wasn't sure of the reason, but she was grateful that her nerves had disappeared somewhere not with her for the time being as she waited for Dionysus.
Sakura saw Dionysus through the window before he entered, and smiled slightly to herself at the faint pause, checking himself before he entered. It was a side to him she'd never really seen before - something she probably wasn't meant to be seeing now, really. She found it endearing.
She turned as he approached, allowing her smile to widen a little as she saw him. She waved his apology away easily, absently gesturing to the chair next to her. "You're not that late, really. I haven't been here long at all." She cocked her head to the side slightly. "How are you?"
"I'm doing well," Sakura replied happily; it was even mostly the truth. "It's been a good week, things are starting to calm down a lot."
She flashed the barmaid a grateful smile before turning back to Dionysus. He looked...nervous, and she had to remind herself that the last time they'd actually seen each other, he'd kissed her and run away. If she were in his shoes, she probably would have been nervous too. "Butterbeer is great. It's been way too long since I've had the chance to get away to Hogsmeade."

He seemed to be lightening up now; she was glad. Not having to stress about whether or not he was enjoying themselves would be a relief.
The expression on her face didn't change overly so, maybe stilled for half a second as her fists clenched slightly, biting back on the impulse to reach out and take his pulse. He was clearly still alive, he was sitting up and talking to her now, and she was being ridiculous. "They are, I think, although it'll probably take a while before the effects really start to fade. And there's not even a guarantee that it won't happen again." She paused, realising how depressing that train of thought was. "Still! It's good that things are picking up."
Sakura nodded her agreement to his second statement. "Agreed. Sometimes it's just nice to get out an be a normal teenager." Like a normal teenager who went on dates.

Okay. There were the nerves. Just a little.
