It wasn't hard to overhear Luke's voice from the open journal of another student, asking if anyone had seen his "new pet". Being referred to as a pet was bad enough, but his pet? Oh he was going to be barbecued when he saw him next. He had originally snuck out to see if he could find someone that actually knew what they were doing in terms of human transfiguration, but after that? Oh no.
He was going to get Luke into as much trouble as possible.
So, if you're wandering the halls of Hogwarts this morning, don't be too upset if you get a little crispy. It's all Luke's fault that he can't control his "pet", after all.
