WELCOME TO OUR OOC CLASS LOG!

How this will work, is that professors who wish to hold an OOC log post a thread for each year of their classes, labeled with the year and class. Then, students reply and we carry out one of our OOC logs. For examples of how our OOC logs are carried out, please go hereIf you find that events are carried out in the ( Read more... )

Today students will be showing off their creature empathy and survival prowess. After all, when observing magical creatures in the wild, one might have to adventure into their habitat! Around the grounds there are various insects, lizards and greenery that are often useful for foraging when an adventurer's bravery outlasts his or her supplies. Students must find and successfully identify three potential food sources from the grounds. They can work alone or in pairs, as long as they identify some edible wild plants or wee critters. Don't worry. The kind professor has provided long, boring volumes of creature identification guides and survival manuals that will advise students both how to find and handle the things they find.

Oh, and remember that quiz he mentioned? The only way to know for sure is to test them yourself! Some might have some... interesting side effects. Nothing too harmful, of course, but if a student has trouble, they'll just have to keep trying different things until they successfully get three correctly identified, safe food sources.

ORIHIME WILL BE HER BUDDY :D Finding edible sources of food is always more fun in pairs!

Orihime will probably be successful at finding three things that are safe to eat. Probably~

Oh- No- SHE ISN'T REALLY! USAGI IS PRETTY COOL HERSELF. ^//////^

HMMMMRS~ /SERIOUSLY INSPECTING WITH SERIOUSNESS
THE FAIRIES SAY IT DOESN'T LOOK GOOD TO EAT, (though it's really pretty, Hime agrees) BRIGHTLY COLOURED MUSHROOMS AREN'T FOOD, SHE THINKS.

WHAT ABOUT THESE BROWN ONES INSTEAD?

C8 SHE IS, ISN'T SHE? BUT USAGI IS SUPER MODEST AND MATURE, SO SHE WON'T RELISH THE PRAISE TOO MUCH CCCC8

... THE BROWN ONES LOOK OKAY. MAYBE LESS EXCITING. They should collect them and then go find more! (Her belly rumbles, though. She sort of just wants to eat them now, never mind about showing the professor what they found....)

X3333 SO MATURE~~ /NODNODNOD

Maybe you can have one of them now? They can just take extras back to the teacher if you're really that hungry. ^^

Heeeey what about these bright red berries? They look like they could be edible...

Flipping through the manuals, Hiruma is confident he knows exactly which items are edible. It would however be amusing to test various articles on an unsuspecting peer....

Oh. Dear. Is that a victim he spies?

With a note of authority in his voice he approaches Mai and explains that what she's holding is a Hindlethorpe vine that only grows in this altitude but is quite common. They are edible and possess a flavor not unlike cotton candy with a touch of mint.

What she's actually holding is nothing of the sort and may trigger an unsightly side effect.

Admit it, she enjoyed watching Naru suffer in Hell's corridor. Ah, so innocent, it's almost too easy.

Oh it's hard to keep a straight face, with that daisy springing out of the girl's head. It could have been much worse, she should feel fortunate that it was only a flower.

"You were supposed to cook it first...." Said as though everyone should be aware of this.

He half-grins, half-smirks revealing a row of sharp looking teeth. Why? It still would have been a lie. Ah, but he's feeling generous since Mai unwittingly helped improve his mood.

Casually since ever showing any form of kindness openly would be a grievous sin!, while still clearly in sight of the girl he takes a bite of a different plant, with no adverse affects. There's a freebie for her.

Nice, hardly... He was only working on the assignment and she happened to notice.....that's his story. Mai was wise to look it up, but this time it's completely legit.

Laughter can be suppressed no longer. Placing both hands on his hips, and throwing his head back, he allows the cackling to ensue.
