Name(s): Al and Ed Location: 5th year Slytherin dorms Week: 50 (backdated a little. ^^;;;;) Time: After Ed's conversations with Vash and Al Rating: PG-13 for Ed (Read: Language :P)
Edward had let out all of his frustrations in the classroom and was having some downtime on his bed. He hadn't expected Al, even though Al had said he was coming. He felt a little guilty for doubting his brother's word, but Al hadn't been himself lately.
"I don't know what you want from me. You told me months ago to leave you alone because you're busy and I have and now that's not what you want? I can't read your mind Al. You're confusing me."
"I didn't really tell you to leave me alone," Al pointed out. "I just... didn't want to talk about what happened with Sakura. I guess it was kind of stupid."
He gave Ed a small smile. "This is new for me too, you know."
"Okay, that's fine." Edward said. If he had any commentary at all, he wasn't divulging it. He wasn't going to ask why Al couldn't confide or trust Ed, but he just figured he wasn't trustworthy.
"Well, like I said, sorry it didn't work out. As you can see I'm alive, relatively healthy...you can go back to your schedule now."
"You've been pretty much telling me all year to just let you do whatever and give you space so when I do you're upset. I don't know what to do, so I think I will do nothing at all." Edward explained. "And if you need something or want something, you tell me okay?"
Of course, Ed hadn't shared anything with Al since Halloween where he'd been thoroughly embarrassed.
He gave Al a small smile. "I'm not upset, you're worried over nothing. You haven't done anything wrong." Ed always felt lost without Al, but Al didn't feel that, he didn't think. "There isn't anything to fix."
"It's fine, you didn't want to tell me." Edward said softly. "It's okay if you don't want to talk to me about stuff. I know I'm too dumb to get it anyway."
Al sighed. There it was. "It's not that I don't want to talk to you about stuff. It was just... this one thing that I didn't want to deal with at all. I didn't just not tell you, I didn't tell anybody. Even though I guess a lot of people knew anyway. I wasn't singling you out to not talk to or anything. I would've when I was ready."
"Hey Al. Schedule let up a little?"
