Aerith had finished some of her research earlier than expected; and she was pleased with the results. Considering that those two events did not usually coincide, the young Professor decided to have a bit of a celebration. Thus she wrapped herself in a warm, fur-lined pink cloak and tugged a pair of mittens on her hands ( ... )

After getting used to the settings, it actually wasn’t a bad place. Definitely not the décor she would use for where she would commonly frequent but, there were drinks at the front and, from the looks of it, food and bedding to be offered as well. Bit on the small size but, seemed to be adequate enough.

Swirling the glass in hand, Joy shifted her gaze over to the woman whom appeared next to her and ordering a drink (butterbeer she called it. Strange idea for a drink.) Definitely an oddly cheerful woman and it seemed wrong to dampen that good mood with her attempts to drink herself into a concussion so, Joy smiled politely in return and said “Hello” back at the brunette before taking another sip from her wine glass. If there was going to be future conversation, Joy was not one to initiate it, especially with a woman she hadn’t really met before.

The silence was like a weight between them. After awhile, Aerith began to shift uncomfortably. Well, that wouldn't do at all now would it? Brow furrowing, she turned towards the woman and started speaking. If there was one thing she was especially talented at it was conversing with someone on end about anything.

The letters she had written home during her School term should have been evidence enough of that.

"Do you teach at Hogwarts? You do look familiar." she nodded, "Or are you an older student?" though that seemed...unlikely, though she wasn't sure why, "My name is Aerith. I'm the Professor of Healing and Medical Magic." she beamed and glanced at the bartender when he brought over her Butterbeer.

There was nothing wrong with silence but, clearly that was an opinion only Joy had since the woman next to her was speaking again. Although what she was saying this time had the Asian woman mildly interested when she mentioned the school.

The name introduction made it easier. So that’s who she was. Joy faintly remembered a conversation with her when she introduced herself over the journals but had yet to actually meet said professor. “I don’t teach but, I am part of the staff,” She responded politely, placing her glass onto the bar table, “I'm Joy. I am one of the infirmary nurses.” She wouldn’t be able to handle teaching. She had done one on one lessons in the past but dealing with a full room of rambunctious children was not something she would find herself enjoying.

"Oh!" Aerith crooned when she finally realized who this woman was, "So you're Joy." she smiled somewhat mischievously, "I haven't met any of the other medicinal staff face to face yet. Well, until now that is." she reached for her Butterbeer when it arrived, bringing it to her lips and taking a sip, "What do you think of Hogwarts? Did you go to School there too?"

Her chattering was only going to get worse with the more Butterbeer she drank.

“Both myself and Hatori tend not to venture outside of the hospital so, you have to forgive us for that.” Joy responded politely. She was generally a private person, despite her somewhat interesting friendships but, she was most comfortable inside familiar walls. Venturing out of her comfort, even to this place, was somewhat of a rare occurrence.

Other people asking Joy questions about herself wasn’t something she liked but, she gave answers to satisfy others curiosity. “No, I was raised with private instruction,” She said. Wasn’t necessarily a lie considering she only had Balthasar teach her about alchemy and poisons but, she wasn’t his student. Changing the topic to show some interest in her instead, Joy asked, “I’m presuming you were a once student here yourself?” It seemed to be a common trend that the professors themselves were once students of that school. It wasn’t hard to believe as there wasn’t many wizarding institutions to begin with.
